RED ROCK, AZ – Arizonans across Congressional District Six are sharing their anger, disappointment, and frustration with Juan Ciscomani in opinion pieces and letters to the editor in local publications.
“Arizonans are fed up with Ciscomani’s broken promises and staunch refusal to put the needs of his constituents over his desire to please Donald Trump,” said campaign spokesperson Kyle McCarthy.
What they are saying:
Arizona Daily Star Opinion Columnist: Tim Steller’s column: Ciscomani ‘bipartisan’ except when it mattered most
“…when it has mattered most, Ciscomani has fallen in line with Trump, supporting his most consequential and damaging policies. Even when other Republicans dared to break ranks on key issues, Ciscomani toed the Trump line.
“On the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, on tariffs and on the war in Iran — votes that have defined the last two years — Ciscomani even raised concerns at times, but in the end voted with Trump anyway.”
Green Valley News: OPINION: No, Juan, this isn’t ‘small potatoes’
“Rep. Ciscomani did a good job his freshman term in Congress, but all of that evaporated with Donald Trump’s return to the White House in 2025. Juan stopped thinking for himself and went along with anything the president wanted.
“Juan Ciscomani sold out.
“There’s a high cost to being weak-kneed. For Ciscomani, it should be his House seat. Regardless of your politics, CD6 doesn’t need a follower, and Ciscomani has proven he’s not a leader.”
Arizona Daily Star: Letter: Ciscomanian “Dirty Tricks”
“The desperation of Juan Ciscoimani’s reelection campaign is increasingly evident. Currently, bright yellow signs with absurd lies about Ms. Mendoza are appearing beside signs for Joanna Mendoza for Congress. Intended to mislead voters, such “dirty tricks” are the same practice used by the infamous Joe McCarthy, Roy Cohn, and Richard Nixon nearly a century ago. At long last, Mr. Ciscomani: have you no sense of decency?”
Copper Courier: A Tucson mom lost SNAP for 2 months. She confronted Rep. Ciscomani
“For months, Garcia, a single mother, lived on potatoes, beans, rice, and other cheap staples. Struggling to find a job and without SNAP food assistance, she had to ration the little money she and her oldest daughter had to afford groceries, which have increased by about 2.7% in the last year under President Donald Trump’s administration. She relied on her family to help afford meals, promising to pay them back when she could, and even visited a local food bank for help.
“It’s harming people like me,” Garcia said face-to-face with Ciscomani. In a brief reply before closing the elevator doors, Ciscomani said, “No, what it did is–”
“For Garcia, the moment was about looking eye to eye with her representative and speaking up about her experience. But she said she was instead met with a “dismissive” congressman, who she said did not stop to talk with her but rather “dodged” the questions and spoke over her.”
Arizona Daily Star: Letter: Who Backs Ciscomani?
“Here’s an elected official who, for a year-and-a-half, would not even hold an open public meeting because he’d have been drown out in boos. These Ciscomani ads claim he’s been a champion of working families. Huh? Ciscomani voted nearly one hundred percent of the time to please his wealthy donors and to enable Trump’s corruption—a violation of his oath to protect the Constitution.”
