Rep. Juan Ciscomani made it clear he is the wrong choice for Southern Arizona

RED ROCK, AZ – JoAnna Mendoza emerged as the clear winner of tonight’s Clean Elections debate. Throughout the hour-long debate Mendoza showed why she’s the independent leader that Southern Arizonans deserve in Congress. As a Marine veteran who served our country for two decades, she proved that she’s battle-tested, and is stepping up to keep serving her community in Congress.

Mendoza highlighted how she’ll fight for the issues that hardworking families most care about: the high cost of living, job security and opportunities, and a strong, safe border.

Rep. Ciscomani’s shameful record:

• HEALTHCARE
  • After promising that he “cannot and will not” cut Medicaid, Ciscomani voted for the largest ever cuts to Medicaid history, which is projected to cost Southern Arizona hospitals $110 million every single year and kick more than 200,000 Arizonans off their health care.
  • After warning of “massive” consequences and “real harm” for Arizonans if the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits expired, Ciscomani refused to join bipartisan efforts to protect healthcare and force the House to vote on the bill, leading to more than 107,000 Arizonans losing their ACA insurance coverage this year.
• FOOD ASSISTANCE:
  • Ciscomani voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill thatled 500,000 Arizonans – half of all SNAP recipients in the state – to lose critical nutrition assistance. This includes nearly 200,000 children and 7% of all Pima County residents.
• TARIFFS:
  • Ciscomani voted nine times to protect these disastrous tariffs that have raised costs on Arizonans – leading to families to pay more than $2,500 in tariff costs, devastated Arizona’s agriculture industry, and hurt small businesses.
• UTILITY BILLS:
  • Ciscomani voted to roll back energy production in Arizona, which according to Ciscomani created “life changing jobs” in the district – a decision that’s already led to over 1,000 layoffs in Casa Grande and raised energy prices for all Arizonans.

• IRAN WAR:
  • Rep. Ciscomani has long defended and voted fivetimes for Trump’s war in Iran that has raised gas prices to over $4.50 a gallon in Arizona and cost the average American more than $1,200 since the war began.

Rep. Ciscomani only cares about billionaires and his party bosses, he will never fight for Southern Arizona families.
